Father’s Day and New Daily Devotionals
It’s summer time, and there are lots of exciting things going on in all of our lives and in our church as well. Here’s a couple things you’ll want to know about at Sonrise.
For those of you who are receiving our Daily Devotional, you probably realize that the Francis Chan, Multiply study we were doing has finished. The popular consensus is that the daily devotionals have been a really helpful way to set our minds on Christ and the work He is doing in the world. That said, I’ve chosen a new study to begin on Monday, July 19th.
If you are not currently receiving our daily devotional, please visit the website, SonrisePalmdale.com, and signup for the devotional. You will receive an email 4-5 days a week on weekdays with a brief thought.
This next devotional series will be looking at prayer using the classic book, ‘Teach Me to Pray,’ by Andrew Murray.
As you may know, this Sunday is Father’s Day. We want to take some time this Sunday to recognize the Father’s in the church as well as any adult men without biological children who have the opportunity to be Spiritual Father’s in our church. May the Lord bless you all with wisdom according to His Spirit as you seek to train young men to live for the glory of God!
Pastor Dan has prepared a great message for Father’s Day, title, “The Shepherd” from John 10:1-5 and I’ll have the privilege to lead our music alongside many others who regularly participate in our service of Worship. It’s an honor to worship and serve alongside you all. I look forward to a great time of worship this Sunday.
